The Q&A Archives: fruit trees

Question: what can i do about birds eating the sprouts on my fruit trees? as soon as the sprouts comes out on my blood orange fruit tree and lemon trees the birds eat them.

Answer: I'm not sure why birds might be running off with the sprouts on your fruit trees, but you may want to drape some bird netting over the trees to act as a physical barrier. The netting will also protect any fruit your trees develop, and keep birds from nesting in the trees as well.

Best wishes with your fruit trees!
