Could you please advise me how to prune a Phoenix palm?

The Phoenix, or date palm, is one of the largest growing palms - about 60 feet tall with a 50 foot spread. The trees are not generally pruned, except to remove the dead fronds at the base of the crown. There's not a lot of special technique to removing the fronds; simply use a saw to cut them off close to the trunk.
