My 10 upright arborvitae shrubs are turning brown at the tips of the branches.What could be the problem be?

Based on your description I am not certain what is happening to your arborvitaes. This type of thing is very difficult to diagnose long distance, it could be related to cultural conditions or it might be a pest or disease problem. I would suggest you consult with your local county extension and/or a professionally trained nurseryman to obtain a specific diagnosis based on samples and/or photos. I'm sorry I can't be more specific for you.
