I have removed a Holy tree from the front of my house. One of my option is to grind the tree to few inches below ground level and resurface the soil to grow small flowering plants. If I do that, will the Holy tree resprout?

In my experience holly trees are deep rooted and will resprout unless the trunk is removed to far deeper than just a few inches. If you simply cover it with a little soil and water it and fertilize it, it will resprout for sure.
