Your website shows cold hardiness zone 5 for your Emperor I Japanese Maple. In local nurseries, some of your preprinted Monrovia information tags on these trees show zone 4 and others show zone 5. In one nursery, the smaller Monrovia Emperor I Japanese Maples show zone 4 and the larger Monrovia Emperor I Japanese Maples show zone 5. Is there a difference among these trees, or are some of the tags wrong, and if so, which is the correct cold zone designation? Thanks.

The Emperor Japanese maple is hardy to -29 degrees F and should grow well in your gardening zone.
