we recently purchased 4 red maple trees, two of them have black edges around the leaves. what causes this? could i be watering them too much? |
Carrie, It could be from a brief dry spell or from fertilizer burn from an overapplication. If the browning happened after transplanting it may be transplant shock from which the plant should recover over time. Keep the soil in the original root ball area moist but not soggy wet. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
