I grow herbs in small terra-cotta pots on my kitchen windowsill. My rosemary thrives, but my basil, oregano, and thyme struggle, wilt, and eventually die. I try to give them a quick spritz with the sink sprayer every morning.

Instead of watering your herbs every morning, try watering
only when the soil in the pot feels dry to the touch. I believe overwatering could be your problem. Try to check
on a regular basis so that soil does not completely dry out.
In small pots, water once a month with Peters 20-20-20 or
Miracle Gro, or a similar balanced liquid fertilizer. Use at half strength.
