Answer: The pods that are forming where flowers once were are seed pods. Whether or not they will contain viable seeds remains to be seen. You can allow the pods to ripen on the tree. When the pods turn a brownish color and feel papery, you can remove them from the tree, open them up, and collect the seeds.
