Our purple orchid trees flowers fell off and pods appeared where they were. I was wondering what the pods were for. Can I grow more trees or anything else? Thanks.

The pods that are forming where flowers once were are seed pods. Whether or not they will contain viable seeds remains to be seen. You can allow the pods to ripen on the tree. When the pods turn a brownish color and feel papery, you can remove them from the tree, open them up, and collect the seeds. Try planting the seeds in pots filled with moistened potting soil and see if they grow. If so, you'll have new trees. Good luck with your project!
