I planted ornamental grasses last July and they grew wonderfull all summer. I cut them back in April and 4 out of 5 are starting to come back. How tall should they be now? They seem to be growing very slow and one does not have any green at all. Am I doing something wrong? or am I just impatient.
I live in Michigan, West Bloomfield a suburb of Detroit and I bought my plants from English Garden.
Thanks
Donna

Ornamental grasses are sometimes slow to respond to favorable weather, but once they do, they make up for lost time. If you're seeing new green growth, the roots are healthy and as soon as the soil and air temperatures suit them, they'll put out lots and lots of new growth. Be a little more patient, and fertilize them lightly with either a 20-20-20 or a little lawn fertilizer. Best wishes with your garden!
