The Q&A Archives: fruit tree diease

Question: We have a tangarine an orange tree the leave are curling up an they
have some white fungus on the bottom side can you help

Answer: Mark,

The curling may be due to lack of moisture in the soil or damage from a weed control product. It may also be that the white stuff is the cause of the leaf curl.

The white fungus looking stuff may be mealybugs or some type of scale. Summer oil (also called horticultural oil) sprays directed upward to thoroughly coat the lower leaf surfaces can smother and control such pests.
