| It isn't necessary to cut back Jasminum polyanthum, but it's such a vigorous grower that eventually you'll want to. Since it flowers in late winter and early spring, you can cut it back after the first flush of blooms has finished. It will then put all of its energy into producing new stems and you'll get a few more flowers during the summer, but the vines will really be getting ready for the next winter's and spring's flower display. This plant is an evergreen. |
