I have a purple passion flower vine that I would like to propagate. Can this be done by cuttings, seedlings or what? Also, where can I purchase different color passion vines?

Passion Flower vines are easily propagated by stem cuttings. Simply cut stems below a set of leaves. Dip each cut stem into a rooting hormone such as "Rootone", gently tap off excess powder. Stick the cuttings (powdered end down) in a moistened soilless mix. Cover them with plastic wrap supported by stakes (so the plastic doesn't touch the cuttings). Wait for new growth to appear, when it does, remove the plastic and transplant each cutting (now with roots) to its own container with potting soil. Water as needed.

You can obtain seeds for Passion Flower from SBE Exotic & Unusual Vines from Around the World. I found 3-4 varieties at one of their web addresses, www.seedman.com/vine.html and, 3-4 more at www.seedman.com/seedbank.html. Look for "passiflora".
