I'll bet it's lovely in full bloom! It's best to prune your shrubby tree as soon as it has finished blooming. You can cut it back by about one-third to reduce its size. If you need to take more off, wait until after it has finished blooming next year. After pruning it will develop new stems and flower buds for next spring's flower display. Enjoy!
