Our neigborhood has a lot of water that runs through it. The upper part of our yard is fenced and slopes downward towards our house. We have lost a couple trees in one particular area along the fence and need to replace them for privacy from the neighbors behind. The existing evergreen trees are 20+ feet. Will you please recommend a fast growing pine or other evergreen tree?
Thank you!

Leyland cypress is a popular tree for screening and privacy plantings. You might also consider "Witchita Blue" or "Skyrocket" junipers. These are reasonably fast growing, upright plants. Or, American arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis) is a tall, columnar evergreen that's a natural for planting in rows for quick screening. Hope one of these suggestions works for you in your landscape!
