Mimosa tree, when will it flower? - Knowledgebase Question

HI I have a baby mimosa tree. It was only a foot and a half high when purchased it 1 3/4 years ago. It is now about 3 3/4 foot high. It never flowered the first year, how long before it will flower?

In my experience it takes about five years for a seedling gorwing in a cold winter area such as yours to make a really nice display. Keep in mind too that it blooms on new growth of the season, so do not trim it during the summer months. Here is some additional information about mimosa trees that you may find interesting.
