Maybe it is a goldfish plant, meaning a Columnea of some kind. These are fun plants but can be a challenge to grow at home. These plants like high humidity, bright but indirect light, evenly damp yet well drained soil (meaning not saturated or sopping wet soil) spring through fall, and a bit drier in winter. Enjoy your new plant!
