peonies - Knowledgebase Question

I had a bed of mixed colored peonies, and now they all are white, Can you tell me why they all turned white<?

While it is possible for hybrids to revert back to white, it's not a usual occurance. I think that the more likely explanation is that the other color peonies eventually died out and the stronger white flowering peonies multiplied and took over the bed. I've had a similar experience with irises.
