This might sound silly, but does anyone have any hints on getting a shepherd's hook to stand straight without tilting? I thought you could just put it in the ground, but should I actually be digging a hole for it? |
You should be able to just push or pound it straight down firmly into the ground. The deeper it it is sunk, the steadier it will be. If you dig a hole for it then the loosened soil will allow it to wobble. Also, putting too heavy a load on the hook can cause it to lean especially in a windy spot. |
