I love bearded iris, but live in central florida (west coast) I would like to know if it is possible to grow bearded iris in this warm climate, and when to plant. |
Bearded iris does not do well in Florida but African iris (Dietes) does. These are iris-like plants with fans of stiff, narrow leaves. The flowers look more like those of Japanese iris than bearded iris, but if you love irises, they may be an acceptable substitute. |
