When we plant the small container plants they never seem to make it. Are 4 |
Plants growing in containers need to be watered and fertilized more often than the same plants growing in the ground. The size of the container really depends upon the plants you're growing. Six-inch containers will have more room for roots and more room for potting soil. The more soil, the more moisture it can retain. If you're growing flowering annuals or perennials, try using 6" pots and watering as often as necessary (daily in hot weather). Feed your plants a half-strength dilution of liquid fertilizer every 2-3 weeks and make sure that the plants will tolerate the exposure to sunshine your pots receive. Best wishes with your container garden! |
