Does the endless summer hydrangea require pruning?

This plant requires only minimal pruning. In late spring you would remove any branches that were killed back by winter cold damage. In some areas where there is no winter damage, gardeners will remove about half of the branch volume in the spring. Then, if you need to thin it or control its size further, you could do that after the first bloom flush. It will bloom again or continue blooming later in the season on the new growth of the year.
