The Q&A Archives: Turkish Fig tree is losing its leaves

Question: I purchased 2 fig trees one month ago, one mission and the other brown turkish fig, they were recently transplanted into larger clay pots with top soil that we purchased. All of a sudden the leaves have begun to fall off, at least 20 leaves fell off over night. The weather has just begun to get warm to hot and I am not sure if they will survive. The brown turkish has many small figs begining to grow and the mission fig has 1 and looks like it is begining to shrivil up.
The trees are on our deck facing south west and is exposed to lots of sun and wind.

I would greatly appreciate any help you may offer as I would like to keep these trees alive and producing.
