I have a Kaffir lily. It is about 10 year old plant and kept in the house. Can I take off some of the exterior leaves with out damaging the plant? Thanks Helen

I am not sure why you would want to remove the foliage. If it is discolored you could remove it, certainly. If you mean can you separate off some of the pups or baby plants that grow at the base of the original plant, you can do that to propagate it. Try to disturb the parent as little as possible however as it hates being repotted or having its roots moved about. Generally speaking it should be left potbound until it is literally about to break the pot. I hope this answers your question.
