I am attempting to start pampas grass from seed - I have several already breaking through. What is the proper care of these plants now. Should have asked this question first but can hope to make them survive. Want to use them for background for large area in back yard where I want to have minimal upkeep.

Congratulations in successfully starting your pampas grass seeds! The little plants can go outside in little 4" pots. Place them in a protected site (a few hours of morning sunshine) until they've grown several new leaves. At that time you can plant them in the ground or move them up to 6" pots and give them progressively more sunshine until they're experiencing full sunshine all day long. As long as you keep them watered they should grow well for you. Best wishes with your new plants!
