How do you get rid of cactus in your yard? Can you spray them with something without killing the grass?I have a bad back that wont allow me to dig.Thank-You. |
I'm not aware of an herbicide to kill cactus that wouldn't kill the grass also. However, cactus have shallow root systems, usually no more than a foot deep. You could water around it heavily to moisten the soil, wait a day, and, depending on its size, it would come out easily. If it's a prickly pear pad type cactus, you can also cut back all of the pads at the nodes. If it's a larger speciman type cacti, you should have somebody remove it for you. Good luck! |
