I planted two plants in front of a white plastic arbor. Should I release the plant from its wooden uprights?
Should I tie the clementis to the arbor?

You can release the plant and gently direct it through the lower supports on the arbor. Clematis climbs by winding its way back and forth through the arbor. Usually it manages to find its own way as it grows, but you can gently tuck the ends into place. It should not need ties.
