Hi folks,

I was at an outdoor event yesterday and they had a plant that I cannot seem to find the name of.

Not sure if it was an annual or perennial, probably perennial. It was a dark green leaved plant with purple stems, with tiny lilac colored flowers up the stem. The flowers looked like little mini bearded iris. It was about 18-24

This might have been a penstemon of some kind. Maybe Penstemon digitalis Husker Red. These have the common name Beardtongue -- descriptive of the flowers.
