The Q&A Archives: Transplanting Hydrangeas

Question: when can I transplant a fair size big leaf hydrangea???

Answer: The best time to transplant would be in late fall after it has gone dormant for the season, next choice would be early fall. I would not try moving one now, the move is stressful and the summer heat would be even more stress on it.
