We just bought a Champaca tree and planted it in full sun. However, some of the flowers are turning brown. What are we doing wrong? We have not fertilized as of yet. should we? How often should we be watering the tree?

Since you've only recently planted your tree, I think it's just showing some signs of transplant stress. As soon as the roots become established your tree should perk right up. Don't fertilize yet - wait until you see new growth before feeding it. Your tree may drop a few leaves and all of the flowers during this adjustment period, but will recover in a few weeks if you water it deeply once each week; twice if the weather is really warm. Give your new tree a little time and it should should perk right up.
