Question: I have a few plants growing, and have grown this at a previous home, but am having a terrible time finding anyone who WILL SELL me the GREEN SHOWERS BOSTON the past I got it from a nursery in Dana Point, it came from your nursery, I have called some of the nurseries you sell to in the area (Tehachapi, New Hall, etc.) and no one is able to even answer questions about it....I need 50 one gallon plants....I need to know what time of year is best to buy this, and HOW DO I GET IT????....I AM DESPARATE!!!....ALSO....I AM ONLY INTERESTED IN GREEN SHOWERS BOSTON IVY....NOTHING ELSE....

Answer: I can find no retailers in California selling Hedera (ivy) of any type. I suspect that ivy has found its way onto the state's noxious weed list (it does tend to escape cultivation and cause problems). Since we can't find ivy for you, and you already have some, why not take tip cuttings from your established plants and root them in the area you want to plant? Ivy roots very easily in moist soil. Take 5-6" tip or stem cuttings and stick them into the soil so a leaf node is buried. Roots will develop at the node in just a few weeks.
