Sunday I bought 7 5 gallon containers of Maiden Grass. The long sweeping grass were just amazing to watch in the wind. 4 days later the long sweeping strands of grass look like they have had a permanent - curling like crazy. What's happening?

I am not sure what is happening but perhaps they have not been watered enough. These grasses like the soil evenly moist, never dried out. If they are still in containers and in a windy spot you might need to water them every day taking care that the water soaks into the soil thoroughly. In the ground, you would need to water them thoroughly at planting time to settle the soil and then mulch around them; to know if you need to water, dig into the soil with your finger. If it is still moist don't water yet. When you water, water slowly and thoroughly so it soaks down and encourages deep rooting. After watering, wait a few hours and dig down to see how far the water actually went; sometimes it can be surprising. If watering does not seem to be the problem, I would suggest you consult with your retailer as soon as possible since they are brand new plants.
