| Is there anywhere that shows the correct way to cutting violets to seperate over growth without hurting the splittings? |
| Violets are rather hardy plants and are fairly easy to separate. Their roots are bulbous and all you'll need to do is dig a clump of violets up and cut the clump into sections, making sure each section has a little bulb with some foliage attached. It's hard to explain but once you've dug the clump you'll be able to see all the little bulblets attached in a cluster. Just cut or pull the clump apart, making sure each division has both roots and stems. Replant, water well, and your new little plants should take right off. Enjoy! |
