We have the Red Blaze climber on the arbor over the driveway. It gets ALL the afternoon western sun which is hot in Texas. Since planting 3 yrs. ago, we have battled black spot and so far, it's won. The roses start out each season fine then it hits and it's downhill until winter. How can we cure this once and for all and do we need to dig up the climber and startover with a new plant? Kate |
Kate, There is not a once and for all cure for black spot your best option is to spray periodically to prevent it from getting out of hand. It is much easier to prevent than to cure. Your local nurseries such as Red Barn on Hwy 183 and Pond Springs Road carry products for black spot. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
