I planted several dwarf alberta spruces over a year ago. They were doing fine, but I am noticing a brownish coloration on some as if they were dying. What is it? Can something be done?

Based on your description I am unable to make diagnosis of the problem, however it could be a pest or disease problem such as a fungal infection. I would suggest you work with your county extension and/or professionally trained and certified nurseryman to identify the problem specifically and then knowing that, determine how to proceed. I'm sorry I can't be more precise for you long distance and I hope it is nothing too serious. Good luck with your dwarf Albertas!
