| Gala is considered self fruitful but you will get better fruit set if there is another variety of apple nearby that blooms at the same time. A crab apple will also do the job. You could wait and see and add one later if you wish. Keep in mind that a newly planted tree naturally will not bear much for the first few years. Enjoy those apples! |
