Gala Apple tree - Knowledgebase Question

I planted a dwarf Gala apple tree this spring.Do I have to have more than one gala apple tree for it to bear fruit?

Gala is considered self fruitful but you will get better fruit set if there is another variety of apple nearby that blooms at the same time. A crab apple will also do the job. You could wait and see and add one later if you wish. Keep in mind that a newly planted tree naturally will not bear much for the first few years. Enjoy those apples!
