The Q&A Archives: Sago Palm with white dots

Question: My sago palm has little white polka dots all over the leaves. What is this, and how do I make it go away?

Answer: Sara,

I am not sure based on that description. It could be scale, mealybugs, or some fungal disease. Your best bet is to take some leaves showing the damage to your County Extension Office and see if they can identify the cause of the damage. They would then be able to recommend an appropriate, labeled insecticide product for you to use.
