The Q&A Archives: When to plant

Question: I want to start a variety of Magnolia trees. When is the best time to plant them in Orlando, Fl? Thank you, Jan

Answer: I'd plant in the coolest months possible - December or January. If you plant in the heat and humidity of summer, your new magnolias will be stressed. Wait until winter and they should become quickly established in their new homes.
