IS THERE ANY SPEICAL CARE I NEED TO DO IN GROWING EGGPLANT? I WAS TOLD I NEED TO PINCH OFF THE TOP SHOOT WHEN IT'S ABOUT 5 INCHES , IS THIS TRUE? THANKS !

Eggplants are cared for much the same way you would grow peppers or tomatoes, they are in fact closely related. I am not sure why someone would tell you to pinch these back. Probably the most important thing for you is make sure the soil and weather are good and warm before you set them out and select a quick maturing variety. Here are tips on growing eggplant.
