Once my Russian Sage starts blooming, do I need to trim or deadhead in order to keep it blooming all summer or can I let it go on it's own?

In my experience it is not necessary to deadhead this plant, the blooms last a long time and it stays tidy looking. It is more of a shrub than a perennial in many ways. Enjoy!
