I have purchase one of your Puruple Fountain Grass which is marked Drought Tolerant and also as a perennial. The sales person told me its an annual. I live in the Chicago area with winter temps to -10.
I'm curious as to if it is a perennial as I would like to purchase more if it is.

It is a perennial in warmer climates such as Florida. In your area it is grown and sold as an annual to be replaced every year. If you are interested in planting hardy perennial ornamental grasses, your local professional nursery staff should be able to show you some.
