Here's a list of California native grasses. Some are not suitable for home gardens because their mature size can reach 6' in height and width. Best wishes with your new plants!
Achnatherum hymenoides (Indian Rice Grass); Bouteloua gracilis (Blue Grama Grass);
Bromus carinatus (California Brome); Buchloe dactyloides (Buffalograss); Calamagrostis nutkaensis (Pacific Reed Grass); Carex tumulicula (Berkeley Sedge);
Danthonia Californica (California Oatgrass); Deschampsia cespitosa (Tufted Hairgrass); Elymus californicus (California Bottlebrush Grass); Elymus glaucus (Blue Wildrye); Festuca californica (California Fescue); Hordeum brachyantherum (California Meadow Barley); Koeleria macrantha (June Grass); Melica torreyana (Torrey's Melicgrass); Muhlenbergia rigens (Deergrass); Nassella pulchra (Purple Needlegrass).
