| Unfortunately, jasmine is not at all cold or winter hardy so many gardeners grow them in containers and summer them outdoors but bring them in for winter. Start taking yours indoors when nighttime temperatures hover around 50 degrees. Bring it in gradually; indoors overnight and back outdoors for part of the day, eventually leaving it inside 24 hours a day. This will help the plant adapt to the lower light levels of indoors. It takes about a week of transition. Once inside, give your jasmine the sunniest window you have and keep the soil moist but not soggy wet. Enjoy your new jasmine! |
