There are so many types of tomatoes, what kind should I plant? Taste is my first priority and space is not a problem. A tomato of good size would also be nice. |
Decisions, decisions, decisions. I'd plant several varieties so I'd have fresh tomatoes all season. Start with Early Girl (54 days to maturity), then Big Boy (78 days). Supersteak is another great tomato that I like. Then, just for fun, plant a yellow one - Sweet Tangerine is brand new this year. If you like to can, try a paste tomato like viva Italia. You can make great sauces with it! |
