Avocado trees grow best in full sunshine. If you sprouted the seed indoors, you'll want to gradually move the plant from inside to outside, keeping it in the shade at first, but moving it gradually into sunnier and sunnier areas of the garden until it is exposed to all day sunshine. Once it adjusts to that, you can plant it in the ground. Best wishes with your new tree!
