While my Star Jasmine is just now flowering which is good, I am concerned about the plant. A large number of the leaves on the plant have been turning completly dark red and then dropping. This has been happening for at least 4 to 6 weeks. I am not sure what is happening
Thanks

Your Star Jasmine is doing what comes naturally - there's nothing to worry about. Broadleaf evergreens such as your Star Jasmine eventually lose their oldest leaves, which will be replaced with healthy new leaves. The reddish cast, then yellowing and dropping are signals that the leaves have finished their tasks on the plant. Your plant will replace these spent leaves later in the summer. In the meantime, enjoy the fragrant flowers!
