About 10 months ago we planted 3 stephanotis plants in the east side yard. Plants were doing fine and starting to bud in april/may when the leaves started turning yellow. I suspect overwater from neighbors side and so I trenched and placed a barrier at the property line. The plants continued to decline dropping leaves and now appear dead. It started progressively at one plant then the same to the next and now the last plant is half gone. Before I plant more what might be the problem? |
Stephanotis is extremely sensitive to over-saturated soils. In fact, more plants die from over-watering than any other cause. If you can't control the moisture level in the planting bed, you might try growing them in above-ground containers or planters. This will assure their good health for many years to come. Best wishes with your new plants! |
