The Q&A Archives: Midnight Blue Agapanthus

Question: After the Summer flowering, do you cut the entire stalk back or leave the stalks until they die? Also, when can we expect the fall flowering to begin?

Answer: When the flowers are spent, cut the flower stalk down to foliage level. Your plant will rest for a few weeks and then send a second flower stalk up. It should be in full bloom by mid-September. Enjoy!
