I would like to know as much about the care and production of figs for this plant I just purchashed. What type of pests will I have to deal with, when will the fruit be ripe. when is the best time to plant out doors? How tall will it get? Is it better to bring it in during the winter or burlap wrap? where and what soil is best, what could I do to improve the soil. Direct sun or partial?

Many thanks, I just would hate to ruin a perfectly wonderful tree.

Although Brown Turkey is one of the hardier varieties of fig, and can freeze back to the ground each winter yet still fruit, it is not considered winter hardy in your area. (It is hardy to zone 7, your zip code places you in zone 6A which depending on microclimate could actually be as cold as zone 5.) You may want to bring it indoors to a sheltered but cool location in late fall for dormant storage. Here are general directions for caring for your fig, I think it will answer all of your questions.
