I planted a Autumn Blaze Maple June 21. I noticed today that the leaves are dropping. Why?

I suspect your maple is going through some transplant shock. Don't be surprised if it drops a few leaves during this adjustment period. As soon as the roots become established, the tree should perk right up. Be sure to water your new tree deeply once each week to help it overcome the shock. Best wishes with your tree!
