The Monrovia tag that is attached to the Endless Summer Hydrangea at the nurseries states that it likes full sun to partial shade. Seemingly contradicting this, the web site states that it should get filtered sun such as under a tree. Can you claify? We would like to use them where they would get full sun.

I'll try to clarify things for you. Endless Summer will grow in areas receiving full sun to part afternoon shade. If your summers are intensely hot, filtered shade in the afternoon will keep the foliage from wilting. The wilting doesn't cause any harm to the plant but most gardeners think wilting means the plant needs water and will rush out to water it. In reality, the plants cannot use any water applied because they have shut down (or slowed down) their rate of transpiration. Sometimes these plants will die from waterlogged soils. So, we've tried to cover all the basis. Your Endless Summer hydrangea should perform well in full sunshine; just be aware that the leaves may wilt during hot summer afternoons.
